NATIONAL NUDE DAY

Nudist groups across the globe advocate for the right to practice nudity. Most of them support and believe that the human body is stunning and should be shown off. They feel that clothes are artificial and are destructive to the inherent beauty of a naked body. While these philosophies may be argued by those who do not support nudity, it's interesting to note that National Nude Day is marked every year. Although National Nude Day is believed to have originated from New Zealand, its founder is not known.

Why celebrate National Nude Day?

Nudists are naturalists and not perverts. They advocate for people to show off their human body in its natural state. While this might be debatable, you will agree that the weather can be insanely hot around mid-July. Indeed it would be fun to cool off in an old fashioned way like shedding layers of clothing and remaining with your birthday suit. You should not feel insane about observing this day. Nudism has been around for thousands of years. In fact, Benjamin Franklin would enjoy air baths by his window and allow fresh air to refresh his body.

Things to do on National Nude Day

Celebrating National Nude Day can be fun, but you must be on the lookout not to break any public decency laws.

Plan on visiting a nudist resort, a beach or pool. These places are secluded, and everyone there is nude. As for the resorts, they charge an admission fee, but you may be lucky to bump on a free day. Some resorts are members only, and only subscribers are welcomed. Unlike nude resorts, nude beaches are not strict on enforcement rules. Look for a nude beach or resort near you and get ready for a skinny-dip on National Nude Day.

You may also make up your mind to join a local AANR club near you. The American Association for Nude Recreation has naturist saunas and swimming groups across the country. It's a pleasure to meet like-minded people as you have fun together.

If you can't access a nude group, you can start small and get naked at home. Hoping that you will be alone in the house, test your courage by opening all the windows and letting in some air. If you have a private backyard, then even better.
